"Sandy, thank you for coming!" I greeted the Sandman as he jumped off his plane and followed me to the globe.
"I know, I know. But I wouldn't have called you all here unless it serious."
I heard Tooth come in, telling her Baby Teeth where to go to get teeth. But I heard another person with her. It was Wendy! "Ah, Tooth! I see you have brought back my little fire head!" I exclaimed and gave Wendy a big bear hug. "Nice to see you, too!" She said. I let her go and she gave me a big smile. But then I remembered why I called everyone here.
"The Boogeyman was here! At the Pole!" I said.
"Pitch. Pitch Black? Here?" Tooth Fairy asked.
"Yes. There was black sand covering the globe!" I said, gesturing towards the globe.
"W-what do you mean 'black sand'?" Bunny asked, painting an egg.
"And then, a Shadow!"
"Hold on, hold on, hold on. I thought you said you saw Pitch." Bunny said.
"Well not exactly" I said sheepishly.
"Not exactly? Can you believe this guy?" Bunny looked at Sandy and he shrugged. "Yeah, you said it, Sandy."
"Look, he's up to something very bad. I feel it... In my belly." I said Jiggling my belly.
"Hang on, hang on. You summon my three days before Easter because of your belly? Mate, if I did this to you three days before Christmas-"
"Yes, but Bunny, Easter is not Christmas." I cut him off and walked away.
Ehehe, here we go." Bunny said as he followed me, explaining all the reasons why he shouldn't be here.
I was distracted by Clause and Bunny arguing so much that I almost missed the moon. I dropped my cup and pointed at it, trying to get their attention. I tried whistling, but that didn't work. I tried waving my arms around, but that didn't work either.
"Tooth, can't you see we are trying to argue?" Clause said. "Sorry not all of us get to work one night a year. Am I right Sandy?" She said. I nodded and made an arrow pointing up at the top of my head. Tooth gasped and ordered more of her fairies to get more teeth. I noticed Wendy in the corner looking at me confused. I floated over to her and made a moon and then an arrow. She looked up and saw the moon. Thank goodness! "Uh.. Guys!" She called to the guardians. "What is it, Wendy?" Tooth asked. "The Moon." She pointed up. Clause looked up and finally saw the moon. "Ah! Man in moon! Sandy, why didn't you say something?" Sand steamed out of my ears.
"It's been a long time old friend! What is big news?" Santa asked. The moon shown down on the center and showed a shadow that looked like Pitch. "It is Pitch.." Bunny whispered. Santa patted his belly and walked closer to where the moon was shining and said "Mani, what must we do?"
The light moved to the middle and pressed down on the tile. It moved and a giant crystal came out.
"Uh guy you know what this means?" Tooth asked. "He's chosen a new guardian." Santa whispered. I walked over to get a better view. A new guardian? I've got to see who it is! This is big!
"What? Why?" Bunny whined.
"Must be big deal. Mani thinks we need help." Santa answered.
"Since when do we need help?"
"I wonder who it's gonna be!" Tooth exclaimed.
Sandman made a four leaf clover at the top of his head. "You think it's a leprechaun?" Tooth asked and Sandman nodded. I could hear Bunny saying 'Please not the grand elf' repeatedly.
Santa was getting really excited.
"Jack Frost." Santa said obviously surprised. The Baby Teeth must really like him. I remember seeing Jack Frost freeze things when I was in the city.
"Uh, I take it back, the Grand Elf is fine." Bunny said.
Tooth zoned out with a goofy smile on her face but then came back. "Well, uh, a-as long as he helps to, uh, to protects the children, right?"
"Jack Frost?! He doesn't care about children! All he is is freeze water and mess with my egg hunts! Alright he's an irresponsible selfish-"
"Guardian." Santa finishes his sentence. Probably not the what he wanted to end it.
"Jack Frost is many things, but he is NOT a guardian." Bunny argued. I never thought about Jack Frost being a guardian. He's rebellious agents the guardians. Oh, this'll be fun.
